Diploma of Theology (DTh)
The Diploma of Theology (DTh) is a 2-year academic and ministry training program designed to equip students with foundational knowledge in Christian theology, biblical studies, and ministerial practice. This diploma is ideal for individuals seeking to deepen their theological understanding and engage actively in church ministry, teaching, preaching, and other pastoral roles.
1. Direct Entry
Applicants must meet the following criteria:
Uganda Certificate of Education (UCE) or its equivalent with at least a credit in Mathematics
Uganda Advanced Certificate of Education (UACE) with at least ONE principal pass at the same sitting
Weighted Points Calculation:
Group Weight Subject Description Essential 3 Any two best-done subjects Relevant 2 Third-best-done subject Desirable 1 General Paper Others ½ All other subjects
2. Mature Age Entry
Applicants who are at least 25 years old and do not meet the direct entry qualifications may apply through the Mature Age Entry route. To qualify, applicants must:
Pass the Cornerstone University Mature Entry Examinations
This option is suitable for individuals who may not hold traditional academic qualifications but have substantial ministry involvement or life experience, especially in church, mission, or community leadership settings. It provides a formal academic pathway for such candidates to develop their theological education.
3. Diploma Entry
Applicants must hold:
A Certificate in Theology from a recognized institution
This pathway is for individuals who have already completed an initial level of theological training and wish to pursue deeper academic and ministerial studies in theology.
4. HEAC Entry
Applicants must have:
A Higher Education Access Certificate (HEAC) from a recognized institution
This entry route provides an opportunity for students who have completed a bridging or foundational program to progress into theological diploma studies.

The Diploma of Theology blends classroom instruction with experiential learning to ensure students are spiritually grounded, biblically informed, and practically equipped.
