Diploma of Information and Communication Technology (DICT)

The Diploma of Information and Communication Technology (DICT) is a 2-year program designed to provide students with a solid foundation in the principles and practices of ICT. The program is tailored for individuals seeking to develop practical skills in computing, programming, networking, and system support—preparing them for employment or further studies in the technology field.

1. Direct Entry

Applicants must meet the following requirements:

  • Uganda Certificate of Education (UCE) or equivalent with a credit in Mathematics

  • Uganda Advanced Certificate of Education (UACE) with at least one principal pass at the same sitting

2. Mature Age Entry

Applicants must:

  • Be at least 25 years old

  • Pass the Cornerstone University Mature Entry Examinations
    This route supports individuals with informal or technical work experience in ICT who seek academic recognition and structured training.

3. Certificate Entry

Applicants must have:

  • A Certificate in ICT, Computer Applications, or a related discipline from a recognized institution

  • Or evidence of satisfactory performance in practical ICT subjects combined with at least five passes in UCE
