Bachelor of Applied Business Administration (BABA)
The Bachelor of Applied Business Administration (BABA) is a 3-year undergraduate degree designed to prepare students for leadership and management roles in both the private and public sectors. The program emphasizes practical business knowledge, decision-making skills, entrepreneurship, and strategic thinking.
It is ideal for students who aspire to work in corporate management, run their own businesses, or provide consultancy in finance, operations, marketing, and administration.Â
1. Direct Entry
Applicants must have:
Uganda Certificate of Education (UCE) or equivalent with at least five credits
Uganda Advanced Certificate of Education (UACE) with at least two principal passes and one subsidiary at the same sitting
The UCE and UACE examinations must have been taken within the last three years
2. Mature Age Entry
Applicants who are at least 25 years old and do not meet traditional academic entry requirements may apply via this route. They must:
Pass the Cornerstone University Mature Entry Examinations
This route suits professionals with work experience in business, administration, or entrepreneurial ventures who seek formal academic qualifications.
3. Diploma Entry
Applicants must present:
A Second-Class Diploma in Business Administration or a closely related field
Second-Class Upper Diploma holders may be admitted directly into Year 2, subject to a review of their prior course content and credit transfer approval
4. HEAC Entry
Applicants may also gain admission if they have:
A Higher Education Access Certificate (HEAC) from a recognized institution
This serves as a bridge program for students lacking traditional qualifications but aiming to pursue higher education in business.
